Redstone College Earns Top Awards From National Aviation Competition
BROOMFIELD, COLO. (March 21, 2011) – Redstone College, a Denver-based institution of higher learning, recently sent two teams to compete in the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Society's Aviation Maintenance Skills Competition in Las Vegas. A total of 26 teams competed in the 4th annual event, which attracted international teams, domestic air carriers, military teams and six aviation maintenance schools.

Redstone College Expands Offerings With New Wind Energy Technology Program
BROOMFIELD, COLO. (Aug. 18, 2010) – Redstone College, a Denver-based institution of higher learning, celebrated the first class to enroll in the school's new wind energy technology program today with a special event held on the Broomfield campus. Industry officials and top political leaders including Governor Bill Ritter, Congressman Ed Perlmutter and Colorado State Representative Dianne Primavera attended the event to draw attention to the increasing need for renewable energy sources and Colorado's recently approved renewable energy bill, which pushes the state's utilities to draw 30 percent of their energy from renewable sources by 2020.

Redstone College Receives Record-breaking Learjet to Provide Students with Hands-on Aviation Training
Broomfield, CO (September 10, 2009) - Redstone College, a Denver-based institution of higher learning, received a Learjet 24D today on a long-term loan from the Spirit of Flight Center, a Colorado-based non-profit air museum. The Learjet will serve as a training tool, providing students in Redstone's Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) and Advanced Electronics Technology (avionics) programs the chance to practice repairs and experience first-hand the mechanics of a legendary aircraft.

Career College Association Names Riedinger to Board of Directors
Denver, CO (July 20, 2007) - The Career College Association (CCA) recently named Alta College's Chairman of the Board Kirk Riedinger to CCA's 2007-2008 Board of Directors. Riedinger joins three others newly elected to the board and four individuals re-elected to their officer positions.

Westwood College of Aviation Technology changes name to Redstone College, Westwood Aviation Institute becomes Redstone Institute
Denver, CO (March 1, 2006) - Effective today, Westwood College of Aviation Technology campuses in Denver and Los Angeles are operating under new names: Redstone College - Denver, and Redstone College - Los Angeles. The new Redstone names deliver on Westwood's strategy to maintain and enhance the unique identity of the campuses that offer aviation programs.
