Student advisors with military backgrounds can help guide you through financial and administrative requirements so you can focus your attention on earning a degree. Redstone accepts a number of government-supported student aid programs on behalf of military members and veterans, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill.* Learn more about your options by visiting our Military Resource Center.
You may be eligible to receive credit for selected formal military course work and training. Redstone College uses the credit recommendations of the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Guide for the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services to evaluate both military classroom and experiential training. This council continuously evaluates military schools, correspondence courses and occupations to determine the amount of college-level credit available. DANTES and CLEP exams can also be submitted for consideration. Based on the applicability of the particular examination to programs at the college you may be eligible to receive course credit. We recommended checking with the campus before taking any exam to ensure the credit can be transferred into your degree program. Each service branch has its own system for recording military education and experience credits and can provide copies of your transcripts. Coursework or training must be similar in scope and credits to a Redstone course in order to receive credit for a particular class.
