Wind Energy Technology Program Objectives

Hands-on training in our onsite operational wind turbine is a key factor in helping our students graduate with superior technical skills in this growing industry. In our wind energy technology program you’ll learn to install, test and repair wind turbine components, plus you’ll practice safe tower climbing and descent skills.

Course content ranges from the basic foundations of electronics to digital circuits, and includes a review of the history and development of large wind turbines. Under the guidance of wind energy professionals this program offers students the opportunity to take courses such as:

  • Digital Electronics
  • Wind Turbine Structure
  • Wind Turbine Systems and Components I and II
  • Wind Turbine Design
  • Wind Turbine Inspection and Troubleshooting
