Disability-related information is maintained in accordance with the confidentiality requirements of college policies and federal laws (e.g., FERPA). Campus Disabilities Coordinators and other Redstone staff maintain the confidentiality of the information they receive regarding students' disabilities in accordance with these laws. However, information sometimes must be shared on a need to know basis with others.

Admission

There is no special admission process for students with disabilities. Students who want accommodations or services from the Campus Disabilities Coordinator must submit a completed Request for Accommodation form with documentation regarding the nature and extent of the disability from the student's health care provider or diagnostic professional. This form, as well as all other disability-related forms, may be obtained from the Campus Disabilities Coordinator or may be accessed through the links on this page.

Students may seek accommodations not only for courses and programs, but placement tests as well. Consult with the Campus Disabilities Coordinator for more information.

Academic Requirements

All students must follow Redstone College, Inc. policies and procedures and meet the graduation requirements of their particular program. Grade changes based on disability are not available. A student who requests an accommodation after classes begin may not have his or her previous coursework reexamined or expunged even if the student can show that he or she had a disability at the time of the coursework in question. Redstone College will not waive penalties imposed on students by faculty members for late submission of assignments where an extension is not granted. All students are expected to follow the Student Code of Conduct. For more information on Redstone College policies, please consult the campus catalog and the Redstone College policy titled, “Provision of Accommodations to Students with Disabilities,” which may be obtained from the Campus Disabilities Coordinator or accessed through the links on this page.
